THE ARTIST
BIO
BRANDON AMIRA is an emerging Miami-based artist and inventor who transforms light into sculpture, blending technology with timeless aesthetics. With a foundation in engineering and a vision rooted in imagination, Amira creates works that elevate both public spaces and intimate environments.

ARTIST STATEMENT
My work lives at the intersection of art and architecture. As an artist, I’m drawn to the ways form, space, and light can shift our emotional relationship to the built environment. I believe sculpture has the power to engage space, heighten perception, and elevate the way we connect with our surroundings.
Influenced by the spatial sensitivity of James Turrell and the minimalist clarity of Dan Flavin, I explore how light, subtle or bold, can become a language of its own. I design sculptural environments that evolve over time, integrating light within each piece to stand as bold forms by day while revealing an immersive presence by night. This interplay between structure and illumination, visibility and concealment, invites viewers to experience my work in multiple dimensions.
The intention of my art is to create pieces that resonate both visually and emotionally, art that feels alive in its surroundings and invites a deeper connection with space. Whether glowing in a cityscape or standing quietly in a private space, each work is crafted to engage the senses and shift perception. My mission as an artist is to push the boundaries of contemporary sculpture, crafting experiences that transform ordinary environments into spaces of contemplation, connection, and wonder.
My art is not an object but an experience, a moment where precision meets poetry. With my art, I transform functional structures into sculptural experiences that illuminate elegance.
MY MEDIUM IS LIGHT
Light is the primary medium at the heart of my work. When paired with metal, it becomes a transformative force that turns solid, functional structures into dynamic, living sculptural experiences. Metal gives the work its geometry, strength, and permanence. Light brings energy, softness, and atmosphere. Together, they strike a harmonious relationship, both grounded and ethereal, that unites precision with poetry.
In daylight, my pieces hold a bold, architectural presence. At night, they shift and illuminate elegance from within, revealing new dimensions through light, movement, and emotional resonance.
My medium is light, but my message is perception. Each piece is crafted to reveal more than form and designed to activate experience, invite curiosity, and spark imagination.
PATENTED INNOVATION
The Parallel Series is a patented sculptural lighting system I developed to integrate custom LED technology into my minimalist metal forms. It allows me to merge structure and emotion into an immersive, luminous experience.

DISCOVER MY PROCESS
From Vision to Reality
Each piece begins as an idea with an exploration of form, interaction, and perception. Rooted in minimalism and material innovation, my creative process begins with sketches and 3D modeling.
Shaping the Structure
Upon confirming my design, I cut and lay the metal in order to weld the structure together. Afterward, I grind, sand, and paint.
Illuminating the Sculpture
Once the structure is complete, I install the lighting directly into the form, integrating it cleanly with concealed wiring. During the day, the sculpture stands as a bold architectural object. At night, the light brings it to life and enhances its presence with a subtle glow from within.
Experiencing the Art
Each sculpture is designed to shift with its surroundings, reacting to light, time, and movement. As the day changes and light fades, my art reveals different facets of itself, offering more than just a visual experience. These moments are meant to create space for reflection where form gives way to feeling and the viewer is drawn inward. Through this transformation, each sculpture becomes more than an object. It becomes an experience.
“I transform functional structures into sculptural experiences that illuminate elegance.”
